                                     Plan Commission Minutes
                                                    September 14, 2000

The regular meeting of the Plan Commission was held on Thursday, September 14, 2000 in the Erich Gnant Room of the Town Hall, 645 N Janacek Road, Brookfield, WI.

Chairman Keith Henderson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The following people were present: Supervisor Jeffrey Timm, Commissioners Dean Pearson, Robert Walkoe and Michelle Martin, Building Inspector Gary Lake, Attorney James Hammes and the Town Clerk to record the minutes. Absent and excused: Commissioners Sheila Baker and P.J. Burbach.

MEETING NOTICE VERIFICATION

The Clerk reported that the agenda for this meeting was faxed to the newspapers and posted at the Town Hall on September 8, 2000. The Police Department on September 8, 2000 posted it on the bulletin boards located at Marx Park, Woelfel & Wisconsin, Davidson Road, Weyer Road and Mayrose Boulevard.

MINUTES

Commissioner Martin moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the August 8, 2000 meeting and approve them as presented, seconded by Commissioner Timm, voted on and carried with three votes. Commissioner Walkoe abstained, as he was not present at said meeting.

FINAL APPROVAL OF 1100 SQUARE FOOT ADDITION AT 180 KOSSOW ROAD

Commissioner Walkoe moved to recommend to the Town Board final approval of a 1,100 square foot addition, for Morrison Studios, at 180 Kossow Road. Subject to the approval by the Architectural Control Committee of a final landscape and lighting plan and the site development plan drawn to scale with parking stalls delineated.

The motion was seconded by Commissioner Pearson and voted on, carried unanimously.

CONCEPTUAL APPROVAL OF REDEVELOPMENT AT 21005 GUMINA ROAD

Supervisor Walkoe moved to recommend to the Town Board conceptual approval of a 10,000 square foot redevelopment, for Children’s Learning Center, at 21005 Gumina Road, seconded by Commissioner Martin, voted on, carried unanimously.

APPROVAL OF EXTERIOR BUILDING FINISHES FOR 18695 W BLUEMOUND ROAD

Commissioner Walkoe stated that he would be abstaining from discussion and action of this item because of a conflict of interest due to client/friendship relationship.

Commissioner Pearson moved to accept Option (2) for the revised palette of materials for the exterior building finishes for the McDonald’s Restaurant at 18695 W. Bluemound Road. This option is the dense forest green roof color, the green band around the base of the building, a red and yellow band around the building under the soffit and the brick remaining natural unpainted, seconded by Commissioner Martin, voted on, passed 3 – 0 – 1 with Commissioner Walkoe abstaining.

CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR DEVELOPMENT ON BROOKFIELD ROAD NORTH OF DEER CREEK

Commissioner Walkoe moved to recommend to Waukesha County approval of a Conditional Use Permit for the development of a duplex on a site on Brookfield Road north of Deer Creek with the condition that the development and architectural plan go before the Town Architectural Control Committee for review and approval, seconded by Commissioner Pearson, voted on, carried unanimously.

CORRESPONDENCE None.

There being no further business, Commissioner Martin moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Supervisor Timm, voted on and unanimously passed. The meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
