	Services The Town of Brookfield Fire Department provides a wide sarray of services including full paramedic and rescue. The department is staffed by dedicated and highly trained professionals that go the extra mile to protect town residents and our visitors. In 2008 the Town of Brookfield Fire Department took a serious look at our mission and the results are the words on that page. A review of our mission statement allowed us, as an organization, to not only put into words the reason for our existence, but to set goals and expectations for both the department and individuals as well. I think when you review our 2009 Annual Report you will see that we are on a mission. One important component towards achieving our mission is a commitment to preparedness. Each day when we watch the news we are reminded of the tragic events that can and do occur in communities that are very much like the Town of Brookfield. When these events happen often times the local fire department is called upon to act quickly to help remedy the situation. How do we prepare to handle this vast array of events that can range from a major fire to a devastating tornado with mass casualties? The answer is we train. Training our department personnel puts us in the best position possible to provide the highest level of service to our community and ensure the safety of citizens and visitors as well as the safety of our own personnel. This commitment to training does not come easy. Lessons must be identified, plans must be developed, and finally the curriculum delivered. We are able to accomplish all of this through the hard work and dedication of our members. This is a department that the community can be very proud of. Mission Statement The Town of Brookfield Fire Department will provide the best possible service to our customers who are in need of assistance from any type of natural or man-made emergency by providing fire suppression, emergency medical, hazardous materials, and technical rescue services. The department will also provide non-emergency services to our customers through public education, fire prevention, and generalized customer service efforts. The department will provide these services by using highly trained, motivated, and dedicated personnel and available resources.
