Town of Brookfield Fire Department Current News OCTOBER 2, 2010 FIREFIGHTERS SHAVE OFF THEIR HAIR IN SUPPORT OF ASSISANT CHIEF TONY D'AMICO
	On April 9, we were awarded the 2009 Assisted Firefighter Grant (AFG). We received the grant to purchase 24 sections of Large Diameter Hose (LDH) and a Roll N Rack hose roller. This allows us to roll, drain and load hose with ease and lower risk of injury. For this year's grant, we wrote for two new defibrillators that are updated with the newest technology. We will not hear any news for this grant until sometime early next year. On June 12, we started our new hire class. These 9 people will be going through a training process that will last 8 weeks. They will complete their training on August 7 and be able to start working on shift soon after that.
